Wedding at Coopers Hall - Portland, Oregon
Katie & Joseph’s Coopers Hall Wedding
After photographing this wedding, Coopers Hall became one of my favorite wedding venues in Portland. The natural light, hanging plants, full-service bar and tap wine offering made this a magical space for a wedding day.
Katie and Joseph had the most beautiful of days. They overcame planning a wedding during a pandemic only to find out that come the weekend of their wedding, Portland would hit record high temperatures (110). They scrambled to deal with hotel closures, switching their outdoor ceremony to indoors, dress malfunctions, etc. But I can’t tell you how full of love this day was, and how beautiful and fun it turned out to be.
Katie, her mother, and I got ready at her mom’s house, meanwhile my second shooter (Dakota) was at their friends’ home getting ready and sharing some whiskey with the groom, Joseph, and friends.
Once Katie was into her dress, we hopped in the air conditioned car and drove over to meet Joseph for the first look. We didn’t spend much time outdoors due to the extreme heat, but I just love the photos we did get. Their first look was such a special moment - her dress from The Bespoke Bride definitely wowed.
We then headed off to take family photos at Coopers Hall (where it was again, air conditioned).
Then their ceremony began and I was just in awe of the beauty of this day. The officiant, Zachary, did an incredible job and made their ceremony so special. The flowers at the altar by Small Yard Flowers transformed the already beautiful venue to even better. The entire team of this wedding did such a great job and I feel so honored to work with each and every one of them. Be sure to checkout the vendor list!!
Once dinner and toasts were finished, Katie and Joseph had their first dance and then the party began! An ice cream truck came from Fifty Licks and they truly made the warm evening so sweet (pun intended).
