Morada Joshua Tree Micro Wedding
A MODERN & LUSH JOSHUA TREE WEDDING AT THE MORADA
The perfect desert airbnb & an intimate wedding
On a warm April day in Joshua Tree, California, Giulia and Anthony got married. I flew down to the desert, leaving the cold and drizzly Oregon spring, and had the honor of not only photographing their beautiful day, but providing a super 8mm video as well. The song choice to pair with their 8mm video ended up being obvious, since Anthony (more popularly known as the artist Otis Kane) recently released a new single, “Free.” It happened to pair perfectly with the mood of their day. You don’t have to take my word for it though - scroll to their Super 8mm video linked below the photos. And do check out Otis Kane - on top of photographing their wedding, it was a bonus that I could discover some new music!
The wedding took place at a stunning Airbnb a few minutes from the town of Joshua Tree. The neutrals of the house and property provided an aesthetic backdrop for the wedding Giulia herself styled so intentionally. This airbnb specifically allows events and weddings, and I love how they had a large property to explore and utilize for photos, without having the restrictions and permits that Joshua Tree National Park entails for photos.
I also have to go into more detail about Giulia, the bride. She put so much intention and design into her day, but it is no surprise every last element was perfection since Giulia is the co-owner of a wedding planning and styling company in So Cal, Frankie & Louise. If you love the vibe of her wedding as much as I do, definitely check them out. Giulia had her co-owner coordinate on the day of and the wedding was perfectly organized which resulted in the most relaxed time. One of my top tips to couples is to always plan and structure sufficiently prior to the wedding day, so you can be completely in the moment and relax on the day itself.
All in all, this wedding makes me want to fly back down to the desert and photograph in the glowy sunshine all the time. I feel so lucky I could document this day for one of the coolest couples.
These wedding photos were also published on Green Wedding Shoes! They shared even more about G&A’s love story so definitely give it a read!
