I take the time to get to know my couples on a fairly intimate basis. I want to know your love story so that I can capture the moments that will be particularly special to you. So, please, dazzle me with your romantic beginnings and everything in between. Tell me all the reasons Aunt Betty won’t want to be photographed, or why your cousins have been seated on opposite sides of the room. I can’t wait to know you, your family dynamics, your vision, and what makes you tick as a couple.
#2: Scope the Venue
As an experienced Portland, OR wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of shooting in many popular and off-the-beaten-track wedding venues. But, if you surprise me with a new venue or plan to have your wedding at a private venue, I will take the time to learn the layout, lighting, and all the possible angles.
#3: Put You at Ease
My job is to make sure you’re perfectly at ease with everything I’m doing. This starts with building a relationship of trust. I’ll also align with you on a timeline that works for you and your day, so you’ll never wonder where you need to be and when, but instead be present in every fleeting moment. I love making an authentic connection with my couples, having fun, and making sure every photo represents your unique relationship.
These two had been engaged for two years before they tied the knot this last June in Portland, OR. The rose garden at Peninsula Park was in peak bloom, so their timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I had so much fun taking wedding portrait of this wonderful couple, their adorable son and all their friends and family in the rose filled park!
