The Ruins Astoria is a perfect venue for couples wanting the ‘undone’ look without it feeling rundown. The original vision for The Ruins in 1921 was for it to be the tallest building on the Oregon Coast, becoming a skyscraper rising above Astoria. In 1922, a fire laid waste to the entire downtown area of Astoria, including the hotel. After the smoke cleared, the local hoteliers decided to make the space a showpiece and keep many of the fire-ridden elements to remind guests of the strength and pioneer spirit of Astoria. Now, it serves as a wedding venue that keeps that same spirit alive!
